The picture shown above was taken from our house. One of the many awesome sunsets that we get to enjoy! We have a beautiful view of Fayetteville looking out to the West..

Thanksgiving in St. Louis

This year we decided to try out a new big city for Thanksgiving. Last year we ventured out to Kansas City and had a great time (did I say chilly too?). This year we also had a wonderful Holiday. We stayed at a hotel next to the Mississippi River and ate a traditional meal at the Hemp Mansion. It was a very cool atmosphere with an all you can eat traditional meal. Yes, we all ate tooo much! Dad also got to play some poker at the casino that we stayed at. Mom and Meg woke up at 4am to catch all those early bird deals on Black Friday. CRAZYgirls! So, Jordan and I slept in. We took the kids to the City Museum (which is very cool place!) on Saturday for the day. I would describe it as an eclectic mixture of children's playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of unique, found objects built inside an old 10 story shoe factory bldg. All in all, we enjoyed our 4 day trip and got to drive all the way home in snowy weather. Did I say it was cold there too??
